Mindfuck:
AuroraGens extraordinary journey through the psyche
Experience & Mindfuck Art
My artistic practice is based on a method I have developed that combines digital image generation, manual digital processing, and painterly intervention using fluorescent oil paints.
This hybrid approach emerges from in-depth conceptual work and distinguishes itself clearly from conventional AI- or mixed-media practices.
Each body of work begins with a framework of scientific research and is accompanied by poetic texts that shape the conceptual grounding. Based on these ideas, I collaborate with AI systems to create visual compositions, which I then digitally refine—often through multiple stages of creative editing. These images are printed and subsequently transformed through layers of oil paint.
Using (neon) oil pigments—some of which fluoresce under UV light—I create visual structures that reveal additional dimensions depending on lighting conditions. This shifting visibility is central to my work.
My pieces are deliberately multilayered—visually, semantically, and technologically. The interplay between human intention and machine logic is not merely a formal strategy, but also a space of ethical inquiry: Who defines what becomes visible? How open and accessible is creative technology? My practice reflects these questions without offering simplified answers.
Mindfuck describes the moment when perception falters and new lines of thought begin to emerge. That pause, that sense of disorientation, is not a disruption—but an invitation to insight.
