The eternal spiral: the continuity of change
In short
The “Dimensioneer” series explores a question that has stayed with me: Are there patterns that remain while everything changes?
In a world that is constantly changing, I keep asking myself whether there is a principle that underlies everything. The “Dimensioneer” series of pictures is my attempt to explore this question in more detail – and to make my own perspective on the continuity of change visible.
What is changing – and what remains
Every image in this series is about return and shift: forms, patterns and information transform, dissolve, reappear and rearrange themselves. I see this everywhere: in nature, which changes with the seasons; in technology, which continues to develop; and in the way the past keeps turning into the future.
The idea behind “Dimensioneer”
I am interested in the point at which change not only means “new”, but also continuation. The pictures are intended to show that the external appearance can change while the basic structures remain the same – or sometimes the exact opposite: stable on the outside, already in motion on the inside.
What I take away from this
This work has reminded me that change is not only a reality, but also a source of creativity, growth and renewal. In every change lies the possibility of creating something new – if you are prepared to look, try things out and not immediately push away the uncertainty.
For me, the series was a wild ride through the continuity of change.
Everything is the same and everything is different.
